Color Theory
Why two colours often beat twelve, and how to find the pair.

"I sent over a messy paragraph about the mood I wanted and got back three thumbnails that all understood it. The final cover is the first thing readers mention."
Marisol Devlin
Author, self-published fiction
"The character sheets were clean, on-model and easy to hand to my animator. Small studio, careful work."
Iris Kowalski
Indie game developer
"Bought a landscape piece for my hallway. The file came in three sizes with printing notes — thoughtful touch."
Hannah Beck
Print collector
"Good communication, no guessing. I asked for one change to the colour balance on the album art and it came back the next morning."
Owen Traoré
Musician
"We needed brand illustrations that didn't look like everyone else's. They asked a lot of questions first, which I appreciated."
Dev Ramanathan
Startup founder
"Reliable subcontractor for illustration work. Fair timelines, honest about what they can and can't take on right now."

Collection VII
In progress — a set of marketing illustrations being made with our first brand client. Hanging here soon.
Why two colours often beat twelve, and how to find the pair.
Notes on weight, breathing room and where the eye lands first.
A single frame can imply an hour before and after it.
Brush economy: fewer strokes, more intent.
Silhouette first, costume second, face last.
Field photos, museum notes and the folder of things we can't explain.
It starts as a private picture nobody else can see yet.
Then we go look at the real thing — light, posture, weather, wear.
Several wrong versions are made on purpose. They teach the right one.
The unglamorous part: edges, values, alignment, resolution.
If it doesn't make anyone feel anything, it isn't finished.
And then it belongs to you.
Every commission ships as high-resolution PNG and JPG, plus PDF for print pieces. Layered PSD or Procreate source files are available on request.
Yes — most of our projects begin as a paragraph or a phone photo of a napkin sketch. We turn it into thumbnails before anything is painted.
Two rounds of revisions are included at each of the sketch and colour stages. Further changes are billed hourly and always quoted first.
Yes. Commercial usage rights are written into the agreement, covering covers, packaging, marketing and merchandise as needed.
Completely optional. AI is only ever used for early ideation when a client asks for it; final artwork is drawn and painted by hand.
Smaller illustrations run about 5–8 days. Covers and concept art sets usually take 2–3 weeks, depending on the current studio queue.
